Founded in 1994, Quad A for Kids provides after-school and extended-day learning programs at four of the Rochester City School District’s elementary schools (Schools 4, 10, 16 and 34). The four A’s in Quad A represent the well-rounded programming it delivers to the students: academics, athletics, arts and achievement.

Quad A for Kids operates as a separate entity funded through the Rochester Area Community Foundation Initiatives Inc.; it shares some of the RACF’s administrative staff but employs its own program staff, an executive director and executive assistant. The current executive director, Seanelle Tracy, replaced former executive director Adam McFadden effective Dec. 15, 2014.

In its early years, Quad A for Kids acted as a quasi venture-capital sponsor for programs in the City of Rochester; one of the most notable programs is the Flower City Soccer League. As Quad A raised and increased its funding, and in partnership with the Rochester RCSD, it began operating after-school programming in 2004.
